Hefty Fines Imposed on City Buses for Violating New Rules

The traffic department has imposed fines on the city buses which have violated the new rules of new routes introduced by the transport department for Route No 8.

The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has imposed new rules for City Buses in route no 8 in order to reduce the traffic chaos in Ganeshguri as the construction of new flyover is underway.

Thenew rules have been implemented from September 19 and the city buses plyingfrom Jalukbari to Panjabari have been diverted via Sixmile-VIP Road-Narengi andNoonmati and vice-versa.

Butit has been seen that many buses have violated the new rule and therefore, thetraffic department has imposed hefty fines on the city buses.

Thecity buses which have violated the rules are AS01-GC-6988 and AS01-GC-5010.
