After intoxicated drugs, the Silchar police have launched an operation against heroin and seized a huge amount of drugs on Thursday night worth 15 lakhs of rupees.

In the last one week, police seized intoxicated drugs prepared in Myanmar worth crores of rupees. The police launched the operation after they have received information from internal sources and seized the heroin from a house at Kanakpur in Silchar. 200 numbers of containers filled with heroin and three other packets of heroin have been seized from the house of Sajina Begum Laskar who leaves in a rented house.

The police caught them red-handed when they were filling the containerwith heroin from the packets. Police also arrested the two drug peddlers SajinaBegum and Bapan Mazumdar and they are now under interrogation atRangirkharipolice station.
