With the results of the Higher Secondary examinationdeclared, the total number of students who has passed the examination hasimproved significantly. In the Arts stream, Dhemaji district has fared wellamong all the districts of Assam while talking about the total pass percentage.

With 89.52 pass percentage Dhemaji topped the list of districts, while Darrang secured the second with 88.03 and Lakhimpur in the third with 87.15.

In Dhemaji, a total of 6031 candidates appeared for theexamination under the Arts stream. Out of the 6031, 310 secured 1^stdivision, 2070 secured 2^nd division and 3019 secured 3^rddivision and a total of 5399 candidates have passed the examination.

In Darrang, 5788 candidates appeared under this stream with1127 securing 1^st division, 1827 securing 2^nd divisionand 2141 securing 3^rd division. Out of the total 5788 candidates,5095 have passed the examination.

In lakhimpur, a total of 8700 candidates appeared under theArts stream. 982 have secured the 1^st division, 2652 have securedthe 2^nd position and 3948 have secured the 3^rd. A totalof 7582 candidates have passed the examination.

This year's pass percentage in the Arts stream have improvedconsiderably to 75.14% as compared to that of 2018 which had 74.68% and 2017which had 73.16%.
