In a sensational incident, a lady was murdered by her husband on Saturday morning by her husband in Nagdirgram under Sonai assembly constituency in Cachar district of Assam.

The deceased has been identified as Jahanara Begum.

Sources informed that after killing Jahanara, her husband Azizur Rahman tried to fake the incident as a suicide.

Azizur has been absconding since.

The police are investigating the case.
