Husband, wife spot dead in Jakhalabandha accident

In a tragic accident, husband and wife of a family died on the spot and their kids and 10 more sustained injuries when a Traveller rammed into the car near Jakhalabandha on Friday afternoon.

Dr Sumit Garodia and his wife killed on the spot, who originally hails from Dibrugarh. Dr Garodia was working as doctor in ONGC. Their 8-year-old younger kid with critical condition has been referred to Guwahati for treatment.

According to the reports, they were heading towards Guwahati from Dibrugarh, when the speeding Traveller rammed into their vehicle.

Jakhalabandha Police immediately reached the spot and arranged ambulance for the kid. Also other injured persons in the Traveller were admitted to a hospital nearby for treatment. Garodia's family members in Guwahati were also informed by the police.
