Increasing waters sweep away two families in Chabua

The incessantrains have only added to the woes of the people of Assam. In one such incident,five houses have been swept away by the increasing waters of the Brahmaputra inChabua.

Theincident has taken place in the town's Dodhia which along with the houses has sweptaway two families including an eight month old baby.

Although,local residents were successful in rescuing the families, they are still inDodhia devoid of treatment.

Not onlyincreasing waters, rains, heavy winds has also left trail of destruction in thearea.
