NotedBhaskaracharya Artist Dr. Janak Jhankar Narzary will be conferred with BhupenHazarika Samannay Award on the Samannay Divas, announced Dr. Bhupen HazarikaCultural Trust on Wednesday.
Addressinga press conference here in Guwahati, the Bhupen Hazarika Cultural Trustannounced that the Samannay Divas will be celebrated with a two-day programmeon September 7 and 8 on the occasion of 93rd birthday of BhupenHazarika.
Theprogramme will be held at Bijni College in Pathsala.
Thecultural trust also announced that this year the Samannay Award will beconferred to artist Dr. Janak Jhankar Narzary. It has also been announced thatnoted actor Late Bijoy Shankar will be conferred with Hitoishi Awardposthumously.
Thecultural trust also announced that Artiste Pankaj Bordoloi will also be felicitatedwith special award.
