Kamrup (M) district administration ready for counting day

The Kamrup(Metro) Deputy Commissioner along with District Election Officer on Monday saidthat the district administration is all set for the smooth conduction ofcounting of votes on May 23 for the Gauhati Lok Sabha constituency.

Addressing the press in Guwahati, Kamrup (M) DC Biswajit Pegu said, "We have prohibited mobiles and cameras inside the counting centre." He further said that there will be three-tier checking inside the counting centre. "No party supporters will be allowed to enter the counting centre," Pegu added.

Both the officials said that counting will be held in 14 separate tables for the 4 assembly segments. They further informed that security around the strong rooms and counting centre has been beefed up.
