Kamrup (M) Traffic Collects Fine of Rs. 1.72L During Durga Puja

The traffic police have collected a huge fine during Durga Puja in Kamrup Metro from October 5-8 for violating traffic rules.

The traffic police have collected a sum of Rs. 1lakh 72 thousand during these four days by imposing fines for violating the rules.

A total of 630 cases have been registered for violating traffic rules out of which 161 are spot fine case and 369 are non-FIR cases.

According to an official of the Traffic department, 129 cases of drunken driving have been detected during puja. He also said that 4 accidents took place in the city in which four persons died and two injured.
