Karimganj JNV student ragged by seniors

Anothershocking incident of ragging has come to light in the State as a class-IXstudent of Karimganj Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) was beaten up by seniorsrecently.

Accordingto reports, the senior called the class IX student to the Nilgiri House in theJNV campus and brutally thrashed him with belts. The boy with serious injurieswas admitted to a hospital. The reason behind the incident is yet to beascertained.

Meanwhile,the father of the boy lodged an FIR at Krishnanagar Police Station followingthe incident. The guardian also alleged that the school authorities have notpaid any attention to the incident.

Earlier,another student of the JNV was admitted in the Silchar Medical College andHospital in same circumstances.
