KMSS leader Bitu Sonowal Granted Bail

Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Bitu Sonowal has been granted bail by NIA court on Wednesday. He has been granted bail against a penalty of Rs. 30000.

Sonowal, who has been infected with COVID-19 is now under treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and will be released directly from the hospital once he will be cured of the disease.

It may be mentioned that the Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) leader Manash Konwar was also released in bail on Tuesday.

After both SMSS and KMSS leaders were granted bail by NIA court, people are now demanding the immediate release of the peasant leader Akhil Gogoi who was also tested positive for COVID-19. His associate Dharjya Konwar also tested positive of the virus and all three are now under treatment at GMCH.
