Madrassa Education Board Chairman be removed: GHC

In animportant ruling, the Gauhati High Court (GHC), on Thursday, ordered theremoval of the Chairman of the State Madrassa Education Board.

The HighCourt ruled that the appointment procedure of the incumbent Chairman ImranHussain is unlawful.

Further,the GHC stated that the selection for the post of the Chairman was made bygoing against the rules of the education department.

The Court directed that a new capable chairman be appointed.
