According to police reports, a bus fell into a gorge near Pangzawl village in Lunglei district early on Tuesday morning killing at least nine people and injuring 21 others.

The bus was travelling from Aizawl to Siaha town in Mizoram when it lost control and fell into a gorge 500 metres below the National Highway No. 54, said the police.

Reportedly, all bodies have been recovered; however, two of the injured people are in a critical condition.
