Mob lynches one near Guwahati

In a terrific incident, an angry mob lynched a man on Wednesday evening under Bijaynagar Police Station near Guwahati. The mob of around 50 people suspected him to be a thief. The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Das of Madhupur.

According to reports, a violent mob brutally attacked the man with lethal objects like sticks, iron rods etc. in Bartezpur area. The mob attacked him on his way to the market. Later he was admitted to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, police yet to detain people involved in the incident.
