Assam Police in collaboration with Indian Army conducted search operation at India- Bhutan border in Chirang and apprehended two wanted linkman of the NDFB (S) on Saturday.

Police said that the wanted NDFB (S) linkmen had been identified as Tetrima Basumatary and Soumdoun Esuari. Two pistols, four rounds of bullet were recovered from their possession.

They are trying to create harassment among common citizens putting demand of money and extortion. – Police informed.
It may be mentioned that, Assam police and military forces have been taking stern action against militant outfits in the border area.
