“No Vaccine Before December” – HBS

"We cannot hope for a vaccine against COVID-19 before December", said Health Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Speaking at the Plasma Donation Programme at GMCH, he further said that the state government will arrange for vaccine and therapeutic vaccine against the contagion in the month of December.

Suggesting that there are tough days lying ahead, Sarma said that the COVID-19 scenario in the state will remain challenging till the end of November, adding that the next two months – October and November – are likely to post more than 75000 fresh cases of COVID-19 across the state.

He furthered assured that the state government is trying to offer the best in all areas. However, he added that health department is going through many ups and downs.
