A hanging body was found at Hajo's Singimari village in Kamrup district.

The name of the deceased has been identified as Jogesh Barman.

On Wednesday morning, locals saw Jogesh Barman's body hanging from a tree at Singimari.

After this, Police recovered the body and sent to post-mortem.

Police have started investigation regarding the case.

It was yet to be ascertained whether it was suicide or murder.
