PBL auction: Ashmita Chaliha bags Rs. 3L

Assam daughter and emerging star of Indian badminton, Ashmita Chaliha will make her Premier Badminton League (PBL) debut this season after she was sold for Rs. 3 lakh to North Eastern Warriors.

Meanwhile, Ashmita will be joining the North Eastern Warriors with Michelle Li, Lee Yong Dae, Kim Ha Na, Rutuparna Panda, Lee Cheuk Yiu, Kaushal Dharmamer, Bodin Isara, Krishna Garaga, and Tanongsak.

The auction for the fifthseason of the PBL was held in New Delhi on Tuesday. Indian star PV Sindhu andWorld number 1 women's singles player Tai Tzu Ying bagged 77 lakhs each. Sindhuwas retained by Hyderabad Hunters, while Ying was bought by defending championsBengaluru Raptors.
