TheKamrup Police on Wednesday arrested Popular Front of India (PFI) leader AminulIslam in allegation to the connection with the violence that erupted inGuwahati during the protests that erupted against Citizenship Amendment Act.

Islamis the President of the PFI, Assam unit and on Tuesday, state finance ministerHimanta Biswa Sarma alleged that Islam was involved in the violence thaterupted in the city.
