Police yet to act against journalist attack accused

36 hours have been passed since the shocking attack on Rajen Deka, a journalist of Dainik Asam, in Nalbari, but the police have not yet been able to arrest the prime accused of the incident.

Though Rajen Deka has identified the attacker as Ripul Deka alias Baba, the Nalbari police have not taken any action against Ripul as he is said to be affiliated to the BJP party.

Meanwhile, the Nalbari district AASU to wave black flags at their offices in protest against the attack on the journalist.
