Queen, Bobbeeta file nomination papers

After mega show-of strength on Monday in Guwahati, Congress candidate Bobbeeta Sharma and another woman candidate, Queen Ojah of the BJP filed nomination papers for the Guwahati Lok Sabha constituency eyeing a debut to the Lok Sabha from the congress bastion.

Sharma handed over her nomination papers in presence of Rekibuddin Ahmed, Akon Bora and many senior congress leaders.

On other hand, BJP candidate Ojah submitted nomination papers in presence of CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Mahendra Singh (Prabhari of Assam BJP), BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav, Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bijoya Chakrabarty, AGP minister Keshab Mahanta, Angoorlata Deka etc.

Bobbeeta Sharma contested the state legislative assembly elections of 2016 from Gauhati East constituency but was defeated by Siddhartha Bhattacharya.

Ojha also contested for legislative assembly in 2001 from Gauhati East constituency but was defeated by Congress candidate Captain Robin Bordoloi.
