Guwahati, the constituency with most number of candidates had much speculations about which BJP candidate would be fielded from the party. However, the seat had draped saffron after BJP's Queen Ojha won with
1008936 votes.

There was a neck to neck competition between Oueen Ojha and Congress candidate Bobbeeta Sharma, who trailed behind Ojha with 663330 votes by a margin of 345,606.

There were a total of 17 candidates in fray for the aforementioned constituency.
