Rahul Gandhi To Pay Last Tribute to Tarun Gogoi in Ghy Today

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Guwahati on Wednesday to pay the last tribute to the former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi who breathed his last on Monday evening.

Security has been beefed up at Sankardeva Kalakshetra ahead of the visit of the Congress leader. According to reports, Gandhi will reach Borjhar airport at 9:30 AM and will visit directly to Kalakshetra to pay last tribute to the mortal remains of the former chief minister.

Gandhi will stay for two hours and will return to Delhi after paying his tribute to the veteran politician.

The last rites will be performed on November 26 at Navagraha crematorium, this was announced on Tuesday by Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The minister said that they have decided to perform the last rites at Navagraha with the permission of the family members of Late Tarun Gogoi and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee.

Congress General Secretary Jitendra Singh and KC Venugopal are also likely to visit the funeral programme of Late Gogoi to be held on Thursday.
