Rajen Gohain’s convoy meets with accident in Nagaon

A vehicle of   Union Minister Rajen Gohain's convoy collided with a speeding oil tanker injuring a the driver of the vehicle on Tuesday.

The incident took place on the wee hours of Tuesday at Nagaon's Rangul when the vehicle with registration no AS 30 8069 consisting of the NSG commandos collided with a oil tanker, as per reports.

According to information, the speeding oil tanker was heading from the opposite direction lost control and rammed into the minister's convoy.

The accident occurred when the convoy of the Union Minister was returning after a Panchayat Election Campaign in Kampur's Chaibuk.

Police have seized the tanker and taken the driver into custody.
