Reshuffling of Cabinet Ministers This Month: Manipur CM

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Wednesday said that reshuffling of his cabinet would be carried out this month.

He told reporters, at the sidelines of his visit to Ukhrul district in connection with World Environment Day, that the central leaders are clearly monitoring every works taken up by the state government.

Reminding "40 percent of ministers were dropped in the centre recently" he said "the incumbent BJP-led state government is based on performance and loyalty" and "how much have any minister delivered positively to the public concerning his department."

This is observed not just by the state government but by the centre as well and accordingly "there certainly will be reshuffling this month."

He however did not specified anything about the particulars of those who might be dropped from the little more than 3 years old govt.

Biren Singh's Cabinet has 12 ministers comprising of BJP, 4 NPP, one each of Naga People's Front (NPF) and LJP.
