Rima Das to be presented with ‘Someone to Watch Award’ at CIFF

Bringing another laurel to Assam as well as India, Village Rockstars' director Rima Das shines internationally again. Cleveland International Film Festival has announced that it will give its 'Someone to Watch Award' to Indian director Rima Das.

The award is given to "mid-career filmmakers who are rising stars in international filmmaking,"said CIFF. Two of Das' films, "Bulbul Can Sing" (2018) and "Village Rockstars" (2017) will be screened at the festival, and Das will remain present for the same.

The director now manages the Mumbai-based production company Flying River Films, which supports local and independent filmmakers in the region.

The 43rd edition of CIFF will start fro March 27 and will go on till April 07 in Cleveland.
