Arobbery has taken place at the famous Sufi shrine of Azan Pir Dargah in Assam'sSivasagar district. The donation box which is located right at the entrancegate of the Dargah was broken and looted by miscreants.

Accordingto the Dargah Committee, the robbers must have looted several lakhs from thedonation box. An FIR with the police has been filed by the Dargah Committee inthis regard.

Police after reaching the spot initiated an investigation and recovered a bicycle from the spot.

It maybe mentioned here that the robbers have left Rs. 2,83,000 in the donation box.
