Smuggled Wood Laden Trucks Seized

Six smuggled wood laden trucks have seized by the DibrugarhForest department at the Sesa Tinitoliya region in Dibrugarh on Wednesdaymorning.

As per reports, the officials of the department could seize themwhen the trucks were going towards Jorhat from Arunachal Pradesh. Moreover, ithas been alleged that lots of such smuggled wood laden trucks use to pass viaTinsukia and Dibrugarh regularly.

Suspiciously, during the daylight also, the driver and thehandymen of the trucks could manage to escape from the scene, and so thedepartment is unable to say any information in this regard, from where and howthe trucks use to pass.

It may be stated that the seized woods worth would be around crores.
