Sonowal expresses grief on Tinsukia accident

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday expressed his grief on the loss of lives in the tragic road accident that took place at Rongagora in Tinsukia district today. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

It may be mentioned here that threefemale pedestrians were killed and several people were reported injured afterbeing hit by a speedy Innova car in the wee hours of Saturday.

"I am extremely saddened to learnabout the tragic accident in Tinsukia. I offer my prayers for the departedsouls and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of the victims,"the CM was quoted as saying in a statement.

On the other hand, the CM directed Transport Commissioner Virendra Mittal to take measures to ensure strict enforcement of the Motor vehicle Act in the State.
