The terror of child lifters has been spreading like a virus across Assam. Another such incident has come to light recently, where a person suspected to be a child lifter was apprehended by a mob at Lanka. He was, however, then handed over to the police.

The public of Tentuli, Lanka has alleged that the person, identified as one Nikhil Biswas, was acting suspiciously.

The accused is presently in police custody.

Biswas, in his statement, said that he hails from Cooch Behar and had come to Assam as his profession is that of a helper in an inter-state transport truck.
