Talks with ULFA in final stage: AB Mathur

Thepeace talks between the Centre and the pro-talks faction of the UnitedLiberation Front of Asom (ULFA) is in the final stage.

While participating in a book release event held in India International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi, peace interlocutor AB Mathur said that centre's discussions with the pro-talks faction of ULFA are at its last stage. The peace agreement is expected to be signed within two months.

TheCentral Government appointed AB Mathur as the interlocutor on their behalf tohold talks with the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA).

A1975-batch IPS officer, Mathur served as the former Special Secretary of Researchand Analysis Wing (RAW), following his appointment on December 10, 2009.
