The occult practitioner Ramesh Saharia was detained by Darrang Police in connection with the sensational incident that took place at Kalaigaon on July 6.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Darrang Police Additional SP Mamoni Hazarika had managed to detain the accused Ramesh Saharia from Kuruwa. He was taken into custody by the Sipajhar police, this evening.

Saharia's interrogation is going on : Police sources said.

A science teacher and his family disrobed themselves completely amid an alleged plan to sacrifice a minor child took place as per the instructions of the tantric.

The family was in touch with the tantrik and it was under his instructions that the science teacher performed the rituals.
