Today is ‘Black Day’ for Assam: Ripun Bora

Reacting on the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Ripun Bora on Wednesday said that today is the "Black Day" for Assam.

Bora said that the BJP has ignored the democratic analysis of Assam andNortheast.

Bora also announced that Congress will observe a hunger strike in Assam at the block and district level on December 6.

He also said that from December 13, Congress will stage protests in Assam and Delhi for three months and will also organize roadshow.

The APCC president further stated that the BJP has killed Assam Accord and NRC adding that the AGP has also bowed down before BJP.

Bora also informed that they will discuss with the opposition partiesto oppose CAB in the Rajya Sabha.
