Tractor Carrying Relief Materials Washed Away

A tractor, carrying flood -relief materials, was washed away by strong floodwater currents on Thursday evening at Koliyajori in Morigaon district.

It was carrying rice, salt and other relief materials for the flood-hits of the district.

Along with the relief materials, six people, including three army jawans, were also washed away.

However, locals managed to rescue the six without causing any casualties.

It may be mentioned here that the relief materials laden tractor was disposed of by the Morigaon District officials and it was on its way for the aid of Bhuragaon Revenue Circle of the district.
