Two arrested in Guwahati Railway Station, Ganja seized

The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Wednesday morning arrested two with more than four packets of ganja valued several lakhs of rupees. Based on a secret tip-off, the peddlers had been caught red handed by the GRP.

Identified as Rajkumar Ray and Mattu Prasad of Bihar were apprehended from platform No. 1 of Guwahati Railway Station allegedly for carrying illicit drugs. Reportedly, they were on Agartala-Delhi Rajdhani Express train with more than four packets of ganja weighing 20 kgs.

"Follow up action is being initiated in this regard," informed a GRP official. "The said ganja was brought from Agartala to Patna by accused person," added the official.
