Two poachers detained at Darrang

Two persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in recent incidents of poaching on Wednesday.

The two have been identified as Abdul Ali of Juria Bolighat and Mofidul Ali of 2 no. Kachari Bhetitop village at Orang.

Their interrogation is on and more information is waited – the police said.

According to their interrogation, forest official managed to recover one .303 rifle, 12 rounds of bullets and one silencer. The weapons had been buried near Orang National Park.
