In an unfortunate incident, a woman was allegedly raped and harassed at gunpoint by two unidentified miscreants at Sapekhati in Sonari on Sunday.

Reportedly, the miscreants had entered the woman's house vehemently and threatened her that they are from ULFA (I). Allegedly, the miscreants started touching the woman inappropriately saying 'We are from ULFA-I and you are a civilian, nothing will happen to us', they then overpowered her and raped her.

Local police administration has arrested a person namely Duleswar Teli for his involvement in the case. His interrogation is going on. More details awaited.
