Police recovered illegal weapons transporting in a truck from Sadiya. The truck was bearing the registration number- AS-23-8755.

According to reports, police have seized two Chinese pistols and five live ammunition near Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu in Sadiya. The locals have said the truck driver and his companion have absconded from the spot immediately after police approached their truck.

Meanwhile, police said that they have launched mission to apprehend the driver and his associate for further investigation to the matter.

It should be noted that armed miscreants killed five people on November 1, in Upper Assam' Dhola.
