Wild Jumbos kills four in Karbi Anglong

Four people were  were trampled to death by the wild elephants in West Karbi Anglong's Kheroni on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Mohit Chauhan, Lakhiya Devi ,Purnima Thapa.

"For the past few days, a herd of elephants are wreaking havoc in this village. The herd destroyed our fields and crops, said a local villager.

The locals also expressed their anguish over the forest department. The alleged the the department of not taking any measures even they wre informed multiple times.

Locals of the area are in shock and outrage following the incident.
