Zubeen Garg, Papon’s paintings sold over 1 lakh

In a talk show of Pratidin Time channel dedicated to thememorial day 'Sainik Shilpi' Bishnu Prasad Rabha on Saturday, three paintingsof popular Indian singers Zubeen Garg, Papon and radio jockey and actorShashank Sameer were auctioned.

The talk show also collaborated with the Cultivator's band that performed live at the show. The talk show was hosted by Nitumoni Saikia.

The auctioned amount collected for the three paintings was donated to Kalaguru Foundation.  The talk show that lasted for 3 hours and 45 minutes had the participation of bidders from across the country and abroad.

Zubeen Garg's painting was auctioned for Rs. 1,25,000 andpurchased by Souren Roy Choudhury from Bangalore, Papon's painting was sold at1, 20, 000 and was bought by Duliajan's Samudra Sagar Saikia. Jiten Saikia fromTezpur bough Shashank Sameer's painting at Rs. 25,000. In addition, SujitSharma from Tezpur donated Rs 10,000 to the 'Cultivator' band. Garg alsodonated Rs 5,000 to the band 'Cultivator'.
