Additional companies of Security Force deployed in J&K

Amid rising tension between India and Pakistan, additional companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF), Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) and Border Security Force (BSF) deployed in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday morning. The additional forces were in the border towns of Rajouri and Poonch.

Earlieron Saturday, Indian and Pakistani armies exchanged gunfire along the Line ofControl (LoC) in Poonch district. The firing started at around 8 PM after Pakistaniarmy resorted to cross border firing. Since then heavy exchange of gunfire isgoing on in the area, reports suggested.

Thereare no immediate reports of any loss of life in firing which was going on whenlast reports came in.
