Anonymous letter threatens to attack PM Modi

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Thrissur district of Kerala, an anonymous letter threatening to attack the PM was received in the office of Guruvayur temple in the district. The letter was received at the temple on June 7, close to the PM's visit.

"The content of the letter initially caused panic as the PM was scheduled to visit the same temple. The temple authorities informed us about the letter and subsequently security was put on high alert," a senior official of Kerala police was quoted as saying by IANS.

As per the reports, the threat message was written in Malayalam on a Rs. 500 note sealed in an envelope. However, police claimed that the source of the letter is being traced.
