Ayodhya dispute: SC reserves order on mediation

Pratidin Bureau

The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its order on mediation in Ram Mandir Ayodhya case. However, the apex court could pass an order soon.

"The Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute is not an issue of land but one of sentiment and faith," said the apex court on Wednesday.

The Supreme Court during the last hearing on February 26, had asked the contesting parties in the Ayodhya case to explore the possibility of resolving the decades old issue.

Mediation is a dynamic, structured, interactive process where a neutral third party assists disputing parties in resolving conflict through the use of specialized communication and negotiation techniques.
