Chattisgarh: 7 Maoists killed in encounter

Seven Maoists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon district this morning. 

According to news agency PTI report, Police said that the gunfight broke out around 6 in the morning in the forest near Sitagota village under Baghnadi police station area when a team of District Reserve Guard was out on an anti-Naxal operation.

Deputy Inspector General (anti-Maoist operations) Sundarraj P told PTI, "So far, bodies of seven Maoists along with a huge cache of weapons, including one AK-47, have been found from the spot,"

With search operation on, further details awaited.
