Congress Demands FIR Against Gajendra Shekhawat

The Congress demanded an FIR to be registered against Union minister Gajendra Shekhawat on Friday after reiterating that there was a ploy to topple the party's government in Rajasthan.

Addressing a press conference, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala read the transcript of a phone conversation where, according to him, the plan was hatched to topple the Ashok Gehlot government.

He also said that Congress MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma has been suspended from the primary membership of Congress pending inquiry on these tapes.

Surjewala said that another Congress MLA and former minister Vishvendra Singh has also been suspended from the primary membership of the party.
