COVID-19 Infected Prisoners Escape Jail

Two undertrial prisoners who contracted the COVID-19 virus escaped from a temporary jail set up by Yerawada Central Prison in Pune.

The incident, that took place in the wee hours of Thursday, has been confirmed by the jail officials.

As reported, both the inmates were kept in the quarantine facility of the prison.

It is to be noted that Jail authorities have converted a hostel building into a temporary prison where new prisoners are kept in order to contain the spread of the virus inside the jail.
