Former CPI (M) Leader Succumbs To Covid-19

Former Communist Party of India (Marxist) MLA K Thangavelu succumbed to Covid-19 in Coimbatore on Sunday. He was 69.

According to his family, he was admitted to a private hospital a few days ago and died without responding to treatment.

Thangavelu was the CPI Coimbatore district secretary and State executive committee member. He represented Tirupur South assembly constituency in 2011-2016.
