Hyderabad To Witness More Heavy Rain: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday night issued a rain alert for six days up in Hyderabad.

The agency this morning said, "isolated heavy rain accompanied with thunderstorm is likely to occur today afternoon/night".

The weather agency predicted that for Sunday Hyderabad may experience a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Following by a cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers on Monday and on Tuesday the city will see heavy rain. There will be a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers on Wednesday and rains have been predicted for Thursday and Friday.

Hyderabad on Saturday night witnessed another monsoon fury that submerged roads, flooded houses, toppled and swept away vehicles. As many as 50 people have already died in the unprecedented rains that lashed the capital city since last week, besides some other districts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. 

An NDTV report showed visuals of vehicles being washed away in the got flood submerged streets. Executive editor Uma Sudhir tweeted visuals from the city flood

"The Disaster Response Force (DRF) personnel of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) were continuously working on the field clearing water stagnations and inundations," the report added.
