IAF Jaguar fighter jet crashes in Gujarat, pilot killed

A Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed Tuesday morning in Gujarat, soon after taking off from Jamnagar base during a routine training.

A Defence spokesperson said that the aircraft was on a routine training mission from Jamnagar when it crashed at around 10.30 am.

Senior IAF pilot Sanjay Chauhan has lost his life in the crash.

Court of inquiry has been ordered by the air headquarters to investigate the cause of accident.
