ISRO Scientist Found Dead in Hyderabad Apartment

A scientistof the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) associated with the NationalRemote Sensing Centre (NRSC) was found murdered in his apartment on Tuesday,police said.

S. Suresh(56) was allegedly killed by unknown persons at his flat at Annapurna Apartmentin Ameerpet area in Hyderabad.

Suresh who isoriginally from Kerala was alone in his flat on Tuesday. His colleagues calledhim on his mobile number after he didn't report to the office. But as they didn'tget any response from Suresh, they alerted his wife who is a bank employee inChennai.

Suresh's wifealong with some other family members rushed to Hyderabad and approached thepolice. They broke open the flat to find Suresh who was lying dead.

Police suspectedthat he was hit in head with some heavy object resulting to death. Police latershifted the body for autopsy.

Senior policeofficials also visited the spot and police team gathered clues from the scene.

Police saidthat they were scanning the CCTV footage of the apartment complex to probe thecase.

Suresh hasbeen living in Hyderabad for 20 years and his wife was also working in the citybut was transferred to Chennai in 2005.

Their son issettled in the US while their daughter lives in Delhi.
